Integrating EPnet with your existing security infrastructure
You may already be using a security system for access, ID and time & attendance. EPnet's flexibility allows your existing ID to be used to integrate catering facilities with these functions.
Most payment systems will claim to work with your access device (cards or tags). Equally, most will achieve this by altering it in some way -perhaps by adding a magnetic stripe or a chip. This generally reduces the effectiveness of the card and adds considerably to its cost. There may be other drawbacks, too. Cards/tags may need to be sent away for alteration and your staff will need to familiarise themselves with new devices and readers. Any existing cards then become redundant.
EPnet works with your chosen access device, not by "co-habiting", but by integrating with it. No matter which system you employ, EPnet is able to work with it. That means minimal disruption to your business during installation. Using your existing access device, EPnet will enable you to add a modern on-line cashless payment system to your business. That means controlled access by your staff to restaurant, vending machines, photocopier, fax and computers can be achieved by using the same device they use to access the building.
Because EPnet uses your existing technology, it is totally effective; there is no ongoing cost for modified cards; devices are instantly available for new starters or to replace lost cards.
EPnet is compatible with almost every security recognition device on the market. In fact, we have never found a system we are not compatible with. EPnet will work with all biometric recognition systems currently available. These are just some of the brands EPnet will integrate with:

Rugged access and cashless devices
For non-office environments, a special rugged ID device is required to operate the cashless system. The Blue token illustrated is a sealed, non-contact Proximity device. This is waterproof and is often used in areas like sports clubs and swimming pools. It can be used for both access and cashless payment.
The token can be mounted in a variety of different ways, including badges and clips, but perhaps the best solution would be the wrist strap type. This can be mounted in a further plastic casing and fitted to a Velcro fastened wrist strap. When used, the device is non-contact, and does not touch the reader. It may be coated in water, mud, oil or cement and will still provide a positive read; simply by the user waving their wrist near to the reader.
Alternatively, a key ring device, like the grey one illustrated may be used. This uses the same technology and has the same rugged characteristics of the token in a different shaped and mounted package. Other versions are available.
