EPnet has been designed as a fully integrated and networked electronic payment system and its advanced operation means that cash is never held on the card. Instead, it is an on-line system that will work with your existing security or access infrastructure to streamline catering and vending on your premises.

Fully integrated
Bar and restaurant tills; vending machines; money; time & attendance; car park barriers; office equipment. All these and more can be fully integrated with your existing security infrastructure. No matter what your input device - be it card, fob, tag - even fingerprint or iris recognition -EPnet will work with it, without the need to alter it or add to it in any way.

A Smart System
EPnet integrates all your points of payment and lays a full audit trail. Transactions are meticulously recorded and aggregated by point of purchase on a daily, weekly, period or annual basis. In real time you will know what has been sold, at what cost and the remaining stock levels. This information is available on screen and in manageable print out form. Besides controlling the system from a local back office, the addition of a modem link offers the option of access to a number of sites from a central head office location. This allows price changes to be made without visiting each payment point. Simply by interrogating the PC, readily digestible information is at hand on sales from tills or vendors and cash levels in the money loader.

How EPnet works
EPnet networks all the payment points in your business and is controlled by a PC in a back office location. When the card is "read" at a payment point, such as an electronic till or vending machine, the software immediately recognises the user and allows access to their account to pay for goods and services. No money is held on the card - ever, making it far more secure than standard cash-on-card systems. For the customer, it is simpler than using a bank card. EPnet is flexible enough to allow debit or credit accounts to run simultaneously.

Flexible Payment Modes
In credit mode, purchases are charged to the account for later payment, either with cash, cheque or through payroll deduction. This method is ideal for hotels, where bar bills and vending machine purchases may be added to the room bill. In debit mode, charges are made to pre-paid accounts. Commonly, in the workplace, staff add credit to their account using a credit card or money loader. Alternatively they may pre-pay by cash or cheque at an administration point. Either way, EPnet is flexible enough to cater for visitors using "hospitality cards".

When a purchase is made, the information is automatically and instantly reported to the back office PC. The amount is debited without cash changing hands and without holding money on the card.

Security System Integreation
You may already have a security system for access, ID, and time & attendance. EPnet's flexibility allows your existing 'ID' to be used at tills, vending machines and for office equipment without alteration to your card or "co-habiting" a second technology on your card. EPnet becomes the card of your choice.
